Doctoral researcher in mobile network security.
My work sits where formal protocol analysis meets running systems, so that what is proved on paper can be measured on a real network.
I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Cyber Security at Kookmin University in Seoul, and a lecturer in Electrical Engineering at Udayana University in Bali, where I also took my bachelor's in computer science and my master's in electrical engineering.
My work sits between two things that usually stay apart. On one side is formal analysis: modelling 3GPP authentication protocols in ProVerif and SVO logic, and going back over published security proofs to find where the methodology does not hold. A proof with a gap in it is worse than no proof, because it stops anyone else from looking.
On the other side is a running system. I maintain an extended fork of the Open5GS core that implements eleven network functions the upstream project does not ship, covering every 5G access type along with post-quantum key exchange for EAP-TLS. It means the protocols I analyse on paper get measured under load on real hardware, and that the gap between the two keeps me honest.
The thread running through most of it is the false base station: equipment that impersonates a legitimate cell tower to intercept traffic or track who is nearby. It is a hard detection problem because real attack data barely exists, and because the signals separating an attacker from a congested cell are faint. That problem is the subject of my dissertation.
I also serve as an editor on IEEE P3751, a standard for quantum-security architecture in 6G-based IoT environments, and as secretary of IFIP Working Group 8.4.

Where this is going
I defend in 2027 and return to Udayana University in Bali, where I will carry on teaching and research. I want to keep doing the same two things at once: proving protocols correct, and running the systems that test whether the proofs survive contact with a real network. I welcome collaboration with groups working on mobile network or post-quantum security.
